We're lucky in New Zealand to have very few spiders that are capable of causing us harm. Spiders can be a particular nuisance in the home. They are attracted to warm, dark small spaces, like wall cracks, corners. Most spiders in New Zealand are harmless, but the katipō, redback and white-tailed spiders can be harmful and should be avoided.
